Well, after a month of procrastination, frustration, hope, and lots of writing and deleting, I only clocked in at about 13,000 words.  I have failed NaNoWriMo.  Perhaps I shouldn't have even tried.

After a few years of hemming and hawing and agonizing over my percieved lack of talent, I'm going to attempt National Novel Writing Month, which starts on Friday.  The working title for the novel is The Prince in Retreat, telling the story of a deposed prince and the gang of outlaws he's joined trying to escape his evil stepmother, who's a scary sorceress clearly taking lessons from Snow White's stepmom.  You can follow my progress here.  I'm hoping this'll be my first piece of writing that becomes good enough to be published.  For those wondering about my fanfics, I'll be starting those up again as well, as something to do if I'm stuck for ideas and to keep my writing muscles fresh.  Can't wait for it to get started.

Things have certainly been exciting.  I attended the Minnesota State Fair, the biggest and best State Fair in the country, went and saw the Conan the Barbarian movie, which I thought was delightfully visceral, in that there was a lot of viscera flying around, and attended my sister's birthday yesterday.

And the funny part?  My birthday's tomorrow, and I'll be going to the State Fair again to celebrate it!

Well, after a long, long hiatus, Temple of Temptation is back with the temptation of our first hapless hero, Aldralax the Barbarian!

In the intervening months I have graduated from college with my BA in English, taken an internship at my state's Historical Society, and gotten a new bedroom.  How time flies, eh?

This is it folks!  I'm officially joining the weight gain community with my very own story, Temple of Temptation.

When a group of adventurers enter the ancient temple of a hedonistic cult, they find themselves beset by a strange power, intent on fattening them up, one by one.
